The Bala Regatta is held annually on the Saturday of the August long weekend at the town docks in Bala. The day includes traditional and fun events for the whole family to compete. The morning is comprised of swimming events, and in the afternoon we make the switch to rowing and paddling events. The regatta is organized and executed by the Bala Aquatic Association. That group up is made up of volunteers who make sure that each element of the regatta including the set up, the food, the races and scoring and the prizing is taken care of. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the regatta there are a variety of things you can do with varying levels of time commitment.
